Who we are
In 2024, Niall and Mueda opened Heartlands Educational Psychology to share their passion for supporting children with additional needs and helping to create a more inclusive society for all.
Niall completed his training at University College Dublin, having begun his career at the University of Galway where he holds both a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Psychology. He has worked with the Dyslexia Association of Ireland, Inspire Multidisciplinary Team, and the National Educational Psychology Service (NEPS).
Niall has comprehensive training across a wide range of psychological assessment tools, including the WISC and WIAT, and significant experience in both assessment and consultative support for parents, teachers, and schools. He strives to create an environment that puts children and families at ease throughout the process.
Mueda trained in Human Rights Law at Payap University, Thailand. From a young age she developed a deep passion for the rights of children and young people, building extensive advocacy experience across ecological child rights, public participation in development planning, and children's rights in policy.
Since moving to Ireland, Mueda has brought that same commitment to building a practice that truly supports families. Together with Niall, she is dedicated to creating a more inclusive society for children with additional needs.
Our ethos
Heartlands was founded on a simple belief: that every child, regardless of their learning profile, background, or challenges, deserves to be properly understood. Our assessments are thorough and evidence-based, and our reports are written to be genuinely useful to families, schools, and the professionals supporting children every day.
We are an independent, private practice. That means you will always deal directly with Niall, no waiting lists, no handoffs, and a personal, consistent experience from your first contact through to receiving your report.
